24 Hours With… Sophie Monk

Ever wondered what former pop star, radio and TV host Sophie Monk is doing at any given time? Well, wonder no more – the Daily Mail appears to have launched a new service bringing readers everything she does in her day.

Indeed the Mail had managed to post three stories about Monk’s activities on Thursday, complete with a dozens of pictures and patronising filler prose, by just 2:00pm in its sidebar of shame.

Even the Australia’s Got Talent judge’s most ardent stalker would struggle to keep up with that.

To put it in perspective, Monk managed to beat out perennial favourite Kim Kardashian (one story in the rail), former Bachelor Tim Robbards (who had two yarns) and DJ Kyle Sandilands (who also had two yarns there).

So what has Sophie done that is so worthy of following, you may ask?

Well, on Thursday morning she went to an event and showed off her ‘coltish pins’ by wearing some skinny jeans, despite once having said she was ‘too fat for jeans’. After all, what woman doesn’t want their legs compared with a young horse?

After that she found time to fit in some yoga in the park with her personal trainer, which according to reporter Jason Chester: “goes some way towards justifying how she maintains her fit physique”.

The article, which managed to qualify for prime slot on the homepage image gallery, is complete with a series of pics of Monk in various poses, most of which manage to reveal a lot of cleavage. There’s even a video which looks like it was shot from the bushes.

If that wasn’t enough, the former 2DayFM breakfast host is also proclaimed a “Cheeky Monk-ey!” (see what they did there?) in the third article, where she had managed yet another “daring” costume change to attend yet another event. She has a tough life.

This time “the 36-year-old flaunted her cleavage in a plunging blazer, wearing just a pink bikini top beneath it” which is pretty much the whole story, also noting “It was the sociable presenter’s second party of the day”, although reporter Jennifer Smith failed to note the earlier yoga session in her busy day.

And in an impressive move Monk even managed to knock herself off the homepage image gallery with that story.
