Dr Mumbo is delighted to see that Stephen Brook – previously with The Guardian, which broke the News of the World phone hacking scandal – is adjusting nicely to his new life working for Rupert Murdoch as editor of the Australian’s Media section.
His piece on the scandal refers to the “holier than thou” Guardian. It would seem that the re-education process is advancing nicely…
Limited News puts North Korea to shame. Let’s see how they handle a Murdoch or two having their collars felt by the Old Bill. Doubtless, that will be state persecution.

As a marketing blog you shd be the first to understand that newspapers – like any product – mould themsleves around a target market. In normal circumstances it wdn’t be surprising that a conservative paper aiming at conservative readers would have a potshot at a left-wing paper. It’s been that way since time immemorial. In the current circumstances I woudl call this restraint.

It is sickening though to read crap such as that dished up by Mark Day and others to the effect that things just went a bit too far and it’s only the excess (dead girl’s phone) that is the problem (intimidating and wrecking lives of so many others was apparently fair sport).
Chris Mitchell feels comfortable to lash out at any perceived criticism or challenge in ways that are obviously related to his strident manner with public policy. His little pal – now at the Tele – is from the same grubby school. They’re just a while behind the grubs of the World.
