The price is not right for Seven anymore

The Seven network has dropped gameshow The Price Is Right less than a year after it rejuvenated the program.

The long running international franchise – it was first seen in Australia on Seven in 1957 – is being bumped for an extra half hour of news from the 4.3opm bulletin.

Game show host veteran Larry Emdur has fronted the program since March last year, but will stay with Seven for his main gig – The Morning Show with Kylie Gillies.

The show also ran on Seven – fronted by the late Ian Turpie – from 1981 to 1986.
