The Voice and MKR squeeze out Ten from Monday night’s ratings

The dual reality assault of The Voice on Nine and My Kitchen Rules on Seven saw Ten’s schedule almost vanish without trace on Monday night with neither The Biggest Loser Or Can Of Worms making the top 20 most watched shows.

Nine easily won Monday with The Voice averaging 2.057m viewers and a share for the night of 29.5 per cent according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTAM. House Husbands rated 1.031m.

MKR averaged 1.54m, helping Seven to a share of 23.5 per cent. Revenge rated 1.009m.

Ten’s best performer was Ten News At Five with 701,000 viewers, which was 13th for Monday. Ten’s only other show in the top 20 was The Bold and the Beautiful on 582,000.

Ten’s share for the night was just 8.6 per cent, well behind ABC1’s 13.1 per cent. The Biggest Loser rated 474,000 and Can of Worms 334,000.

In the morning an average of 600,000 tuned in to Ten to watch Aussie Adam Scott’s US Masters golf win. Meanwhile 316,000 tuned in for Seven’s Sunrise, just ahead of Nine’s Today on 294,000. In the mid morning slot, Seven’s The Morning Show (154,000) beat Nine’s Mornings (133,000)

In its preferred demographic of 18-49, Ten fared fractionally better with The Biggest Loser 12th for the night. Can Of Worms was 21st in 18-49 while Hawaii Five-O was 33rd.

In share of the 18-49 audience Nine was on 30.9 per cent, Seven 24.5 per cent, Ten 10.6 per cent and ABC1 7.5 per cent.

In 16-39, Nine was on 30.4 per cent, Seven on 24.8 per cent, Ten on 11.2 per cent  and ABC1 6.3 per cent.

The Voice won in all key demographics.
