The Works starts on Jim Beam’s international account in joint venture with US and German agencies

Creative agency to Jim Beam has won the international account of the drinks giant in a joint venture with other territorial incumbents.

The Works won the international account pitching with Germany’s Jung von Matt and StrawberryFrog of the US to beat out competition from international networks.

The new venture will be called FutureWorks to see the agencies collaborate to produce the first global marketing campaign for Jim Beam.

Work begins immediately for the global campaign.

The Works has had Jim Beam locally for nearly a decade.

Damian Pincus, creative partner and founder of the agency said: “Winning the global account for Jim Beam is the culmination of nearly ten years of working with the brand for us. We have gradually increased our activity on the account over the years and now we have the biggest opportunity of all, the chance to play a major role in its first global campaign.”

“The win shows that you don’t need to be an international network to win international business. Geography is no longer important when it comes to advertising but great ideas told well remains the gold standard,” he added.

Jung von Matt was founded in 1991. It was named Independent Agency of the Year at Cannes International Advertising Festival in 2010. It won the Grand Prix in Outdoor at Cannes for a campaign for Mercedes.

StrawberryFrog opened in 1999 with offices now in Amsterdam and Sao Paulo. Its clients include Heineken and Emirates Airlines.
