The X Factor and Winners & Losers deliver Seven strong ratings

The X Factor put in another strong performance on Tuesday night as Big Brother sank below 1m for the first time on a weeknight and Ten’s I Will Survive struggled badly.

The X Factor rated 1.573m for Seven across the five city metro market, according to preliminary ratings from OzTam.

The result was similar to last Tuesday’s show, which rated 1.578m.

Winners & Losers, also on Seven, rated 1.297m. The two shows also topped the key advertising demographics of 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Nine’s Big Brother, at 7pm, rated 964m.

Following Big Brother, US sitcom Big Bang Theory at 8pm rated just 655,000 for Nine.

Ten News at Five was the network’s highest rating show on 648,000 while I Will Survive, up against The X Factor rated 391,000 in 26th spot.

Seven won the night convincingly on 26.1%, well ahead of Nine on 17.7% and ABC1 on 12.3% with Ten fourth on 12.3%. SBS1 dropped to sixth place on 5.0% behind ABC2 on 5.7%.
