Management changes continue at Naked as Melbourne MD Tom Ward is axed
The management reshuffle at Naked Communications is continuing with Melbourne managing director Tom Ward departing the agency after two years, Mumbrella can reveal.
Respected planner Ward joined the agency in March 2013 after nearly three years with GPY&R Melbourne, and has been linked with a move to Cummins & Partners, which would see him reunited with former boss Adam Ferrier.
This morning Ferrier declined to comment on the speculation.
News of Ward’s departure comes just weeks after Mumbrella revealed Naked CEO Carl Ratcliff is also set to leave in the middle of this year to head up One Green Bean.
Ratcliff said: “Tom is a great guy and great operator. We’re sorry to see him go.”
Last September parent company Enero folded sister-agency BMF into Naked Melbourne under Ward’s stewardship, although the agency has not picked up any notable new clients since then.
Shares in Enero (ASX: EGG) dropped to a 12-month low on Thursday afternoon and stayed at the price of 73c when trading reopened after the Easter weekend giving the holding group a market capitalisation of $62.49m.

“axed” sounds somewhat harsh…

Naked’s loss & Tom’s gain I would argue. Interestingly there’s no mention of the rest of the management team in Melbourne?

Is there anyone of note even left at Naked now? Lots of news of departures…very little of their replacements…
