Tongue bosses to talk about disruption at Vivid Sydney in June

Founders of STW Communications agency Tongue are giving a talk looking at what disruption really means at the Vivid Festival in Sydney on june 1.

The release:

Next month, STW’s ideas agency Tongue will host a session at Vivid demystifying one of the most overused buzzwords in modern business – ‘disruption’.

Tongue is the only ad agency invited to present at Vivid Ideas. Tongue’s Managing partners Jonathan Pease (JP) and John Du Vernet (JD) will host an interactive session designed to give attendees the tools they need to disrupt their own business and industry.

Jonathan Pease, managing partner and executive ideas director of Tongue explains: “The word ‘disruption’ is thrown around a lot these days. Business gurus are telling us we must change our mindset to be more ‘disruptive’ and ultimately create ‘disruptive business models’ to survive. It’s easy to say but hard to implement and that’s exactly why we’re doing this session. We’re going to discuss what and why disruption matters but most importantly we’re going to drill down on how to build disruption into your business immediately.”

JP and JD will be joined by a select group of panelists including:

– Best selling author of critically acclaimed Marching Powder, Rusty Young

– Edwina McCann, editor-in-chief of Vogue Australia

– Dan Rosen, CEO of ARIA

– The youngest person to sail solo non-stop around the world, Jessica Watson.

Tongue is a full-service ideas agency that delivers big disruptive ideas for clients including Telstra, Audi, Coca-Cola Amatil, Pernod Ricard, ASOS and Suncorp.

Vivid Ideas is the Asia Pacific’s annual celebration of innovation, creativity and community, building audiences and markets for the creative industries, and offering professional development opportunities across the sector.
