Tourism NT ties with Panasonic to promote the Northern Territory in 3D
Tourism NT has teamed up with Panasonic to create 3D content as part of the tourism body’s local and international marketing plans to be unveiled this year.
The tie-up has also been made in the lead up to Panasonic’s launch of its latest 3D camcorder, the AG-2DAI 3D, in October.
Director of photography Jules O’Loughlin and digital systems engineer John Turner, both of whom worked on James Cameron’s latest film Sanctum, have spent the last week filming locations in the NT including Darwin, Litchfield National Park, Adelaide River, Bamurru Plains, Kakadu and Arnhem Land.
The 3D video content, shot using Panasonic’s new 3D camcorder, will be used in road shows, trade fairs, conferences and Panasonic retailers around the world. It will also be featured on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and Flickr.
Rita Harding, Tourism NT executive director marketing, said: “3D is the closest thing we can do to replicate the real-life experience of what it is like to visit Top End and we believe that this will only add to people’s desire to visit the Northern Territory.”
