I’m a Celebrity elimination of Anthony Callea attracts 780,000 metro viewers for Ten

Anthony CalleaTen achieved 780,000 metro viewers tuned in last night to see Anthony Callea eliminated from the jungle in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The rest of the reality TV show, which kicked off at 7:30pm, was watched by 702,0000.

The elimination portion of the episode – which was the most-watched non-news program of the evening – was the most-watched show amongst 18-49 year olds and 25-54 year olds, whereas Seven’s broadcast of Pitch Perfect, at 8:30pm, was the most-watched show amongst 16-39 year olds, attracting 471,000 metro viewers.Nine won the evening with an audience share of 22.3%, thanks largely to the news, which at 6:00pm pulled in 944,000, dipping to 896,000 from 6:30pm.

The 6:00pm news was out-rated by Seven News which was watched by 973,000 at 6:00pm, sliding to 920,000 at 6:30pm.

On Nine, the Thursday Night NRL which saw the Penrith Panthers take on the Canterbury Bulldogs was watched by 433,000 viewers in Sydney and Brisbane from 7:30pm.

Meanwhile, in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, Inside Story at 7:30pm pulled in 264,000 viewers, while RBT was watched by 317,000 at 8:00pm.

The Footy Show, which aired at 8:30pm in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, was watched by 528,000.

Seven claimed second place last night with an audience share of 17.8%, ahead of Ten’s share of 14%, while the ABC settled for a share of 12.7%.

On the ABC, 7.30 Report was watched by 707,000, Hatch, Match and Dispatch (8:00pm) pulled in 522,000 and Jack Irish (8:30pm) had an audience of 617,000.

In breakfast TV, Seven’s Sunrise was watched by 316,000, outrated by Nine’s Today Show which had a metro audience of 333,000.
