Val Morgan Outdoor and Energizer batteries team up for interactive table tennis activation
Shoppers can pit their table tennis wits against Mr Energizer in a new digital marketing push from the battery brand and Val Morgan.
The technology will enable consumers to control a virtual paddle and play against the battery-fuelled icon on 90-inch screens at eight shopping centres in New South Wales and Victoria, aping one of the battery brand’s latest global ads.
The campaign, to promote the brand’s Eco Advanced battery which is partially made with recycled batteries, will run for eight weeks.
Val Morgan Outdoor director of digital and innovation Matthew Bushby said the customised technology will create an “immersive brand experience” and will be a “crowd stopper”.
The campaign follows on from this global Energizer campaign
Managing director Anthony Deeble added: “This is yet another digital experience we’ve built to create a positive brand experience. This brings to life both our innovation capabilities and Energizer’s commitment to innovation in a high-impact, highly engaging digital retail out of home environment.”
Energizer senior brand manager Natalie Artinian said interactive digital table tennis forms part of an integrated campaign.
“The innovative displays are a great fit for our launch as Eco Advanced is the latest innovation in the battery category, and these displays are the latest innovation in Out of Home media,” she said. “We are excited to be part of it.”
