Viva introduces family pet Bruce the dog as it demonstrates strength of paper towel

Viva is urging consumers to put its paper towels to the test in their kitchen in a new campaign pitting the brand against Bruce the dog.

Created by JWT Sydney, the commercial introduces “loveable but messy family pet” Bruce and aims to highlight how the paper towel’s V-shaped ripples have the strength to trap, collect and contain even a “Bruce sized” mess. It ends with the tagline “Put Viva to the test in your kitchen”.

Kimberly-Clark marketing manager Kimberley Finsten said: “We know that our consumers really value time spent with their families and that the messiness of everyday life often gets in the way, taking them away from precious family time. The new ‘VIVA Vs’ commercial program highlights the superiority of VIVA Paper Towel, which enables consumers to quickly and effectively clean all types of mess so they can get back to enjoying the chaos of family life”.

Complementing the new commercial will be a shopper activation program which will see Viva kitchens set up in 10 Westfield Shopping centres where demonstrations will be carried out to show how the brand’s paper towel can clean up real life messes.
