Who knew about the Gillard coup first? Inga van Kyck
While Dr Mumbo has always had deep admiration for his counterpart on B&T magazine Inga van Kyck, the comedy columnist has achieved something close to ESP in the latest edition of the magazine.
The column, which being in print would have needed to go to press at some point during 1988, features Inga working on a highly topical piece of business:
“OMG! We’ve been asked to work on a top secret “creative development project” for the Federal Labour Party called Operation Carrot Top.
“The brief is to come up with a hypothetical campaign to promote a hypothetical change of leadership from the current PM (Krudd!) to a hypothetical female leader called, hypothetically, ‘Jennifer Grillade.'”
If only Kevin Rudd had subscribed to B&T he’d have had the warning he needed.
Nice jab with the “being in print it would have needed to go to press at some point during 1988″…. I can hear the printers and publishers sobbing!

As the owner of Encore magazine I’m sure you know only too well the deadlines required for print titles, Tim!

My print edition’s just arrived in the post.
Inga’s not the only psychic working for them.
Look at their career dilemma on page 34.: an agency boss who went to Cannes and said too much at a journalist.
They did well to get that in, what with Cannes not having happened when they went to press.
