Winners & Losers dips below 1m for Seven

Seven drama Winners & Losers dipped below the million-viewer mark in its second episode, pulling in 995,000 viewers.

However the show – which was down 25% on last season’s average – comfortably won its 8.30pm time slot, beating Joanna Lumley’s Greek Odyssey on ABC1, which rated with 666,000, and NCIS on Ten with 872,000; 2 Broke Girls rated with just 305,000 for Nine.

Nine’s debut of new Matt LeBlanc (Joey from Friends) series Episodes, about an Americanised version of a British show, rated with just 232,000 – although the show only ran in Sydney and Brisbane.

The show aired in a double episode from 9.30pm, while other key cities ran AFL EJ Whitten Game, which rated with 619,000 in this time slot on Nine.

Ten’s new reality show Being Lara Bingle regained some ground on last week’s ratings, up from 684,000 to 728,000, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.

Top show for Tuesday night was MasterChef, with 1.355m. The Ten show won every demographic and was the only non-news show to eclipse 1m viewers.

In the battle for breakfast, Seven’s Sunrise beat Nine’s Today by 354,000 to 327,000, respectively while Ten’s Breakfast did 32,000.
