Winners of first Mumbrella Asia Awards revealed
An idea to tackle prejudice against people living with HIV in Hong Kong has won the Mumbrella Award for Bravery at the inaugural Mumbrella Asia Awards overnight.
TBWA\Hong Kong claimed the accolade for charity AIDS Concern at the ceremony at the Sheraton Hotel in Singapore this evening.
Campaign of the year was awarded to APD Interact for its Merdeka 2014 campaign for Malaysian telco Maxis.
Phibious Vietnam won the Mumbrella Asia Award for Insight.
The Mumbrella Award for Innovation went to the ‘Escape the Haze for iWeather’ campaign by iProspect Singapore, which was named Southeast Asia Specialist Agency of the Year.
Saatchi & Saatchi China won the Mumbrella Asia Award for Culture. The agency was also named Greater China Creative Agency of the Year. Southeast Asia Agency of the Year went to Y&R Thailand.
The big winner in public relations was Weber Shandwick, which won PR Agency of the Year for Greater China, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Dentsu Aegis Network’s Carat emerged as the most successful media agency. Carat China won Greater China Media Agency of the Year and Carat Singapore was named Southeast Asia Media Agency of the Year.
Southeast Asia’s Emerging Agency of the Year went to Cambodian independent Cream Communications.
In the Specialist Agency of the Year category, Red Fuse Communications won top honours for Greater China, iProspect Singapore for Southeast Asia and Posterscope India for South Asia.
Y&R’s Matthew Godfrey was named Agency Leader of the Year.
