Woolworths insurance products to carry supermarkets logo

Woolworths has entered the insurance market with brands such as Woolworths Life Insurance and Woolworths Pet Insurance to roll out in the coming months.

The new products will carry the Hans Hulsbosch-designed supermarkets logo, a company spokesman told Mumbrella. Hulsbosch was also behind the recent creation of Masters, Woolsworths’ new hardware retail brand.

Woolworths will partner with Swiss Re and The Hollard Group to provide what the company described as an “affordable, flexible and easy to understand” alternatives in the insurance market. However, advertising will only carry Woolworths branding.

“The promotional material will have a look and feel which is specially adapted for our insurance services but will clearly be part of the same Woolworths family of products,” the spokesperson said.

The advertiser would not confirm that its agency, M&C Saatchi, would be handling advertising activity for its new insurance products.
