Woolworths use a dash of pink and Austin Powers in new online video

Woolworths is going pink in its latest marketing initiative which aims to highlight what’s new in its supermarket stores.

A pink “New” shelf talker features in the video shared on the supermarket’s Facebook page, which sees a dance troupe of men and women dressed in pink dancing through the supermarket’s aisles to the theme song of Austin Powers.

The post has not been well received on Facebook, with many users suggesting the money used for the ad should have been injected into staffing across its stores.
