WPP reveals steady profit for 2012 first half
Global communications holding company WPP has reported steady global growth for the first half of the year.
According to WPP’s preliminary results for 2012, headline earnings before interest, taxes, deprecation and amortisation grew by 13.2 % to £682m pounds ($1.045bn), compared to the same period last year, when it reported EBITDA as £620m.
The communications giant revealed £5bn in revenue, up 5.5% on last year.
WPP companies in Australia include the Group M media agencies, ad agencies Grey, JWT, Wunderman, Ogilvy & Mather and Y&R and PR companies Burson-Marsteller, Cohn & Wolfe and Hill & Knowlton. It also owns Landor, G2, Millward Brown and TNS.
