X Factor falls below 1m
The Brownlow Medal dominated Melbourne’s TV ratings on Monday night, with the arrivals show for the AFL award rating 584,000 in the city for Ten and the main event pulling in 661,000.
It spelled bad news for The X Factor’s first live elimination night, with the show falling below 1m for the first time, rating 978,000, according to preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam.
In the timeslot, the show finished behind a repeat of Nine’s Two And A Half Men but ahead of Hot In Cleveland which fell out of the top 15 with 790,000 viewers for Nine.
There were again big variations across the capital cities for The X Factor. It was second for the night in Sydney but 18th in Melbourne. It was 11th in Brisbane, 14th in Adelaide and 16th in Perth.
Meanwhile, across the five capital cities, Seven News was the most watched programme of the night with 1.502m viewers.
