Yahoo!7 promotes Jonathan Steel to director role

Yahoo!7 has promoted Jonathan Steel to the role of director, business development and partnerships, after two years as head of commercial partnerships.

Sydney, 16 September 2014: Yahoo7 has today announced the promotion of Jonathan Steel to the role of Director – Business Development and Partnerships.  Jonathan will join the Yahoo7 Executive team, heading up strategic partnerships and driving new business opportunities.  

Jonathan moves into the role of Director following more than two years as Head of Commercial Partnerships, where he successfully delivered new partnership opportunities for Yahoo7 with some of Australia’s leading digital companies. Jonathan has more than 15 years experience in the digital media and advertising industry including two years at APN as Media Sales Director for Queensland. He has also worked across digital and print media, with roles at Fairfax Media, News Magazines and Publicis.

As Director – Business Development and Partnerships, Jonathan will be responsible for the management and growth of all partnerships and will continue to drive business development opportunities across the Yahoo7 network, in both Australia and New Zealand. Jonathan will also play a key role in the formation and implementation of Yahoo7 strategies in conjunction with the CEO and Executive team.
