***EXTENDED DEADLINE*** UNAA World Environment Day Awards 2014 ‘Call for Nominations’

Nominations for the UNAA World Environment Day Awards have been extended to Friday 2 May.

Each year, in support of United Nations World Environment Day (June 5), the United Nations Association of Australia recognises innovative and outstanding environmental programs and initiatives from across Australia and the important work of Australian environmental leaders through its World Environment Day Awards.

Award Categories:

1. NSW Office of Environment and Heritage Sustainability Leadership Awards (Small and Medium Organisations & Large Organisations)
2. Swinburne University of Technology Excellence in Sustainable Product Design Award
3. Hanson’s Green Building Award
4. Virgin Australia Community Award
5. Biodiversity Award
6. Business Awards (Best Specific Environmental Initiative & Excellence in Overall Environmental Management)
7. Environmental School Award
8. Excellence in Sustainable Water Management Award
9. Individual Award
10. Local Government Awards (Best Specific Environmental Initiative & Excellence in Overall Environmental Management)
11. Media Award for Environmental Reporting
12. Sustainability Education Award

The winners of the UNAA World Environment Day Awards 2014 will be announced at the Awards Presentation Dinner to be held on 13 June at the Crystal Ballroom, Milsons Point, Luna Park Sydney.
