About the event:
Women in Local Government leadership roles are confronted with a diverse set of challenges relating to the

management of staff, engaging with the community and dealing with budget constraints. Due to this, it is

crucial that women in leadership positions utilise their unique skills effectively in order to maintain a

positive public image, manage employees with authenticity and meet diverse stakeholder expectations. The

Women in Local Government QLD Leadership Summit 2014 will offer an exceptional array of speakers who

will share the challenges they have experienced and overcome throughout their career, as well as their

stories of achievement and success. The Summit will provide delegates with the opportunity to share ideas
