At the Top of His Game: Multi-Award Winning Director Garth Davis

A sought-after commercials director, Garth Davis is obsessive in his commitment, cinematic sensibility and deep appreciation of the actor-director relationship.

Having directed episodes of the award-winning Australian series, Love My Way and the classic 2008 Schweppes Burst TVC which won a prized ‘Gold Lion’ at Cannes, Garth also co-directed the critically acclaimed and chilling six-hour mini series Top of the Lake alongside Jane Campion (The Piano), who recruited him after seeing his impressive body of work. The stunning series has gone on to captivate audiences across the globe.

Currently he is in pre-production on his debut feature film, Lion, adapted from Saroo Brierley’s extraordinary yet-to-be-published autobiography. Garth will join host James Hewison to talk about his cinematic sensibilities and the intriguing upcoming debut feature.
