ABOUT THE EVENT
Lawyers working across the Public Sector must continuously keep abreast of the latest law reforms and constantly upgrade their professional skills in order to support their agencies purpose. The Government Lawyers Forum 2015 will provide the premier opportunity for legal professionals to develop the skills necessary to achieve success. Case studies from significant public agencies will offer relevant practical value while expert commentaries will provide perspectives on evolving directions and the emerging responsibilities of a government lawyer.
Over the course of two days, issues encompassing ethical challenges, reform initiatives, professional skills and many more will be explored with genuine examples and thoughtful reflections offered through interactive participation and discussion.
The learning is reinforced by two highly interactive and practical workshops that will enable lawyers to continue their professional development. The first will equip lawyers with a practical administrative law update, allowing them to develop an understanding of the implications of current law reform in areas including, privacy and freedom of information. The second workshop following the forum will focus on the necessary leadership skills for public sector lawyers. Lawyers who are aspiring to progress their careers and refine their leadership toolkit will be provided with skills and strategies to reach their full potential.
