JIMEOIN, IS IT…?! 2015
Jimeoin brings his latest tour, Is It…?!, to the Sydney Comedy Festival. On stage for only two nights, Friday 1st May and Saturday 2nd May, at The Enmore Theatre.
Jimeoin is acclaimed as one of the hottest stand-up comics of this generation – a true comedy master. A prolific writer with an exceptional audience rapport, he is known and loved for his brilliantly funny wit and charming observations on the absurdities of every-day life.
In 2005-8, Jimeoin was touring throughout the vast outback regions of Australia as well as playing the major cities and festivals across the land – he became the first comedian to go and tour totally “over the top” of the country, playing a mix of hotels, theatres, swimming pools, cattle ranches and anywhere that looked a bit interesting. This was filmed for a TV series on BBC Ireland called “JIMEOIN DOWN UNDER”.
His 2006 and 2008 seasons at the Edinburgh Fringe smashed box-office records before those festivals even opened and were a huge hit with the public and critics alike.
Jimeoin moved to Australia at the age of 22 and worked as a gardener before getting his own comedy television show, Jimeoin, which ran from 1994-95. He is also known for starring in and co-writing Australian films The Craic (1999) and The Extra (2005). He has made guest appearances on a variety of television shows in both Australia and abroad including Spicks and Specks, Rove (live), The Panel and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
Don’t miss your chance to see one of Australia’s most celebrated and impressive comedians.
