Friday on My Mind: Sydney – Vivid’s Ample Projects
Channeling Vivid: The multi-sensory Ample Projects
In the spirit of Vivid Sydney, which has exploded into one of the most dynamic and visually exciting creative festivals any where in the world, this week we foreground a collective of creative visual storytellers. Ample Projects is a group of award winning artists, designers, animators and interactive developers who collaborate and are focused on developing new and unique ways of story telling via beautiful large scale projections that include: The Urban Tree Project (MLC Building in Martin Place Vivid 2014), Central Park (Central Park Village Vivid 2015) and Visions of Vienna (a landmark event for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra which saw images of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele beamed onto the Sydney Opera House. 2014).
With skills that span the specialist areas of screen design, interactive design, 2D animation, sound design and musical composition Ample Projects fuse analogue creative practice with new technology to create thought provoking and beautiful visual stories. They will share their approaches to creating innovative screen based content with host Luke Buckmaster.
Guests: Nicholas Tory, Lucy Keeler and Martin Crouch
