Documentary Filmmaking Introduction at Open Channel

Get the skills to make a short documentary with this intensive practical course running over 4 consecutive Saturdays.

By popular demand we’ve added an extra day to the previous 3 day course to allow a bit more time – including more editing time!

Designed for beginners, this course gives you a solid technical and creative foundation.

Be guided by an experienced filmmaker to:
• Examine storytelling conventions
• Understand the process of concept development
• Understand legal and ethical issues
• Conduct interviews
• Use camera, lighting, sound and editing equipment
• Collaboratively shoot and edit a short documentary film from start to finish including filming on location in Docklands.

Dates: 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd August 2015 (Saturdays 10:00 – 17:00)
