Friday Film Forum

Film buffs will be pleased to know they no longer have to shell out $20 quid to see a movie at the theatre. Nor do they have to settle for netflix, pajamas and pizza, which might run homebodies upwards of $40…not including pajamas.
Skyfire Studio, a new gallery, workspace, and home of a mysterious underground supperclub is running $8 movie nights in its little Leichhardt space. The studio, nestled within the Italian Forum, is one part commercial gallery, one part edgy arts collective, and one part maker’s place and workshop conclave.
The Friday Film Forums are often preceded by an open mic comedy or music set. With optional ‘class discussion’ afterwards, the Forum will also serve drinks by donation, have gourmet popcorn available for purchase, and serve free espresso at the evening’s conclusion. A great date night and a fun way to catch your favourite flicks! The first Forum will be Friday July 3rd at 8pm, visit www.skyfireart.com to see what’s playing. Register now for tickets, space is limited!
