AFTRS OPEN: Prop Making and Scenic Art Intensive

Learn the practical skills of scenic art, set finishing, and prop making for film & TV productions in this five-day AFTRS Open course.

You will learn:

• The basic scenic art techniques used in the process of building a film set
• How to recreate a background scene.
• How to make your own props, including colouring, ageing and prop breakdown skills
• Silicon mould making and casting
• How to make “stunt double” props. i.e. fake knives, baseball bats
• And more!

No prior experience is necessary for this course – all you need is an interested in film & TV design, and a passion for getting your creative juices flowing and your hands dirty!
