AFTRS OPEN: Directing Masterclass with Daina Reid

This intensive two-day intensive course will focus on the skills that every director should have in order to feel confident in directing TV series drama:

• Breaking down a script
• Improvisation and rehearsal techniques
• Cinematic tools for scene impact & story pace
• Working with actors

This course is designed for emerging directors, including theatre directors, actors, writers, and producers, and includes an introduction to the theoretical context for each concept, group exercises – including working with professional actors – discussions and debriefings, and the application of concepts and tools in a progressive, experiential, engaging and insightful way.
