Sydney Film School Opens Its Doors To The Public

On 7th May, Sydney Film School will throw open its doors to the public with a free Open Day to encourage budding filmmakers to take the opportunity to experience the School and all it has to offer.

Those interested in learning more about a career in the film industry will have the opportunity to sit in on expert-led presentations, hear about the School’s courses and practical teaching methods, and network with teachers and current students.

Providing a unique insight into the creative and collaborative environment of the School, teachers and students will lead studio demonstrations on the filmmaking process including cinematography, digital editing and sound. Open Day attendees will also have the opportunity to visit the School’s in-house cinema and watch a broad variety of films created by talented current students.

Sydney Film School is internationally recognised for its focus on story-telling and comprehensive hands-on training. With an exceptionally high rate of graduate employment, the School has produced a broad range of screen industry talent including directors Gracie Otto (The Last Impresario), Maya Newell (Gayby Baby), visual effects editor Dave Quinn (Mad Max: Fury Road) and producer/director assistant Ana Jimenez (The Rocket).
