Bora joins the KPMG division after it was created last month following the the acquisition of research company Acuity Research and Insights.

Lisa Bora, new head of KPMG’ Sales Transformation practice

“Lisa specialises in adapting organisations’ sales and marketing strategies though digital disruption and organisational change,” Paul Howes, Partner in Charge of KPMG’s Customer, Brand & Marketing Advisory, said in a media statement.

“She has a strong history of successfully driving new ways of business, new partnerships, new revenue and new distribution channels – which is exactly what our clients are looking for from our new business,”

Bora worked as a senior executive at Google for the past five years, most recently leading the Australia and New Zealand’s New Business division which saw her responsible for YouTube content programs and packages, client relationships and managing the company’s media and creative agency partnerships. Prior to Google she had roles at News Corp, Voyages Hotels & Resorts and Village Roadshow.

Starting on August 28, Bora will lead KPMG’s Sales Transformation consulting team, working with the firm’s clients on customer experience and advising them on dealing with digital disruption and evolving consumer behaviour.

The consultancy’s Customer, Brand & Marketing practice now boasts a team of 46 specialists, including 7 partners.

”Put simply, sales transformation is about putting the customer at the centre of your business by ensuring marketing, sales and distribution are aligned for profit building. It’s about making marketing operate as a profit and insight centre for a business, rather than a cost centre,” Bora says.

“Being at the heart of driving this change across marketing, sales and distribution channels is what attracted me to KPMG. The opportunity to build a business and new practice that is heavily integrated into an overall business transformation journey, which is KPMG’s strength, is exhilarating,” she added.

KPMG flagged it is actively expanding capability by pursuing acquisitions, and recruiting more specialist talent to grow its division.
