Prior to his move from Sydney to San Francisco, Dylan was Head of Public Affairs for Airbnb across Asia Pacific as the company more than doubled in size every year. They now have more accommodation listed on the platform than the world’s top five hotel chains combined.
With more than a billion people, a growing middle class and a surging travel market, Dylan launched the Indian and South East Asian operations for the company with co-founder Joe Gebbia and helped deliver Airbnb’s first (of many) Cannes Lions as part of their major partnership with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in 2015.
He has 15 years under his belt in media and external affairs roles in political offices, major utilities and publicly listed companies and now plays a lead role as the company expands well beyond just providing accommodation.
He’s climbed the world’s tallest freestanding mountain, dived with sharks and now lives in a Trump led nation that serves drip ‘cawwffee’ as standard fare – all with his big laugh that fills a room, love for meeting new people, chocolate and rugby.
