Acast Australia appoints Guy Scott-Wilson as content director

Allure Media’s partnerships director Guy Scott-Wilson has joined Acast Australia as content director.

Scott-Wilson spent the last four years with Allure Media, in roles including senior account manager, group sales manager and partnerships director.

Prior to that Scott-Wilson was based in the United Kingdom, working at Dennis Publishing for two years.

Henrik Isaksson, country manager at Acast Australia said Scott-Wilson brings global and local expertise to the role.

“Guy will play an important role in our business because, above all, we’re focused on helping local Aussie podcast providers monetise content and give listeners an enjoyable place to discover it,” Isaksson said.

In his new role, Scott-Wilson will help build Acast’s content strategy and help local content creators grow and monetise audiences through the podcasting platform.

Scott-Wilson said of his new role: “I’m fortunate enough to have spent my entire career in businesses that care deeply about the quality of their content. And in joining Acast, I’m joining a platform that is going to lead the industry for many years to come.

“In a world where so much content competes for our attention and finds us via social media, podcasts offer an opt-in experience that still emphasises great storytelling, and for me that is extremely exciting.”

Scott-Wilson’s appointment comes two months after Nova Entertainment announced it would buy and sell Acast’s inventory locally.
