Australian Radio Network has announced Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond and Zoe Marshall as the new The 3PM Pick Up team after Chrissie Swan was dumped from ARN’s Kiis last year, as the station’s new national drive show of Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek returning to the airwaves from 4pm today.

The show was previously hosted by Chrissie Swan and Jane Hall but Swan was dumped by the station at the end of last year to make way for Matt Tilley, who partners with Hall to host breakfast in Melbourne.

Last week it was revealed Swan has joined Dimond’s women’s lifestyle website Show + Tell for a weekly podcast, which is co-hosted with Dimond.

Dimond has previously worked on the Nova FM drive team alongside Ryan Shelton and Michael Wipfli before joining Merrick Watts and Scott Dooley on the Nova 969 breakfast show in Sydney. She then shifted across to her own weekly Nova national show, Saturday Morning Monty.

ARN’s national content director Duncan Campbell said: “It’s fantastic to see all the shows now on air. It’s going to be an exciting and competitive year for radio, particularly in Sydney and Melbourne, and now that Hughesy & Kate and The 3PM Pick Up With Monty & Zoe are on air to join our Breakfast Shows, it really feels like the year has begun for us.

“Hughesy & Kate are exceptionally talented and loved by their loyal audience, so I can’t wait to see what they bring to ARN’s national drive slot, and the new team of Monty & Zoe is going to bring a fresh new energy to our very popular 3PM Pick Up show.”

Marshall filled in as co-host on Nine’s Mornings alongside David Campbell and has made regular appearances on Seven’s Sunrise as one of Kochie’s Angels. The author of blog Know Your Worth, Marshall also has a weekly column for the Sunday Telegraph.

The 3PM Pick Up airs from 3-4pm across Kiis Sydney, Kiis Melbourne, 97.3 Brisbane and Mix 102.3 Adelaide.
