‘Kids Happen’ says Big W

Big W has launched a ‘Kids Happen’ campaign featuring home video footage of kids drawing on walls, covering themselves in food, dancing, dressing up and playing the drums.

Created by M&C Saatchi, the campaign aims to portray the carefree attitude of children while promoting Big W’s products.

Kristen Linders, general manager of marketing at Big W, said the campaign represents everything kids stand for and the messy, challenging, exhausting and rewarding times.

“When we talk kids, it’s not just toys and clothes, it’s also about decorating their rooms, how they are entertained and getting them out and about on their adventures.”

Laura Kinzett, senior strategist at M&C Saatchi, said: “We’ve all seen them scribble on walls and take delight in the smallest of things. It’s this wide-eyed fascination and love every minute attitude that we wanted to celebrate and that’s what the campaign features real footage of messy, wonderful, imperfect families that shows what kids do best – be kids.”

The campaign is set to run across TV, out-of-home, digital, social and print.
