Broadsheet MediaBroadsheet Media has appointed a new editorial director, Tim Fisher, to head up its print and digital products in Sydney and Melbourne.

Fisher replaces Caroline Clements who has held the company’s most senior editorial position for over four years.

He moves to Broadsheet from an in-house communications role with The Ian Potter Foundation and has previously worked as an editor at Everguide, News Corp Australia, Architecture Media and Morrison Media’s Surfing Life Magazine.

Broadsheet publishes an online magazine and directory of culture, arts and style for for Melbourne and Sydney.

He said: “Broadsheet has struck a real chord in both cities, and the way it’s growing makes this job feel like something really special. I’m excited to be working with people who have such a great understanding of their cities, their audience and the possibilities of what they’re creating.”

Clements started at Broadsheet Media when it was founded by publisher Nick Shelton four years ago and has helped the websites reach an audience of more than 450,000 unique visitors a month, as well as launch in Sydney in 2011. She departs to pursue opportunities in the US.

Shelton paid tribute to Clements’s considerable contribution to the company. He said: “We’re excited for her US adventure, and for the fresh set of eyes and editorial experience Tim will bring to the team.”
