Red Agency scoops five CommsCon Awards as WE Buchan wins Large PR Agency of the Year again

For the second year in a row, WE Buchan has won the prestigious Large PR Agency of the Year Award at the Mumbrella CommsCon Awards, as Red Agency scooped up the most awards of the evening with five wins.

Red Agency was lauded twice for its Palau Pledge campaign, taking home the award for Best B2C Campaign and Best Government Sponsored Campaign. The Havas-owned agency also won the Best Government Relations Campaign for Endo The Silence, while Red Agency’s Savannah Fielder won Best New PR Talent of the Year, and Rachel Barry was named PR Professional of the Year – Agency.

In addition, the agency also received two highly commended awards.

The CommsCon Award for Boutique or Small PR Agency of the Year was won by Seven Communications, meanwhile, independent agency Sauce Communications was crowned Midsize PR Agency of the Year.

WPP AUNZ’s opr also managed three wins, one of which saw its CEO, Richard Brett, win PR Leader of the Year.

The agency also scooped up awards in the Best Use of Research/Insights and PR-led Event or Activation of the Year categories.

Other agencies and brands to take home awards included Edelman, Haystac, CHE Proximity, Sefiani Communications Group, CampaignLab, Hotwire, Finder, Xero Australia, Universities Australia, Queensland Urban Utilities and KFC Australia.
