Deborah Mailman voices new animated campaign for Natural Chip Company

The Natural Chip company is pushing it ‘natural’ credentials in its latest campaign featuring animated wombats, kookaburras, possums and platypuses.

Created by The Royals, the 30-second ad shows how “nature does most of the work” as potatoes are moved by wombats, bees move the honey, possums pick the chillies and birds carry the salt to create “great tasting chips naturally”.

Voiced by Australian actress Deborah Mailman, the campaign also includes a 15-second ad and a six-second spot.

Andy Jones, creative director at The Royals, said in a statement: “The naturalness in their chips is right there in their name, so it seemed natural (pun) for us to show how nature does most of the work, so we can all enjoy great tasting chips.”

The campaign comes just after the brand underwent a logo and packaging re-design.

Angela Solomou, marketing manager at Snackbrands Australia, parent company of the Natural Chip Company, said: “We are very excited to support our brand relaunch with a creative work that has resonated so strongly with consumers and that has communicated our naturally great tasting brand proposition so clearly. We are looking forward to many more consumers discovering the great taste of our Natural Chip Co. chips.”

The ‘Natural Selection’ campaign will roll out across television, digital and out-oh-home, launching on Sunday July 16.
