Ebay Australia launches its first print and online catalogue

Ebay has released its first Australian catalogue which will be distributed as a physical paper product and as an online version.

The catalogue was produced by Ebay Australia’s in-house design and creative team.

eBay’s first Australian catalogue will appear online and in print

The paper catalogue was created to highlight the company’s 40,000 retailers, and demonstrate to consumers that, contrary to popular belief, 90% of the goods on Ebay are brand new.

The digital version will launch on 21 May, and consumers will be able to shop for their favourite products straight from the catalogue.

Julie Nestor, chief marketing officer at Ebay Australia, said in a statement: “We’re adopting a similar strategy many traditional bricks and mortar retailers have – by having both a physical and online presence.

“We wanted to find a way to showcase our fantastic range of products. We know retail catalogues have long been the way Aussie shoppers prefer to browse and purchase the best deals.

“We’re really excited about bringing together the online shopping and physical worlds.”

Ebay vendor Aaron Huang from Mobileciti said: “We’re thrilled to be part of eBay’s first catalogue. A physical channel is a great way for us to get exposure to buyers and to showcase how strong our tech offering is.”

The company’s current creative agency of record is 72andSunny.
