Equality Media and Marketing has appointed Nicola Chandler as senior account manager.

The announcement:
Independent full-service agency Equality Media + Marketing has today announced the appointment of Nicola Chandler as senior account manager, following a series of strategic project wins and continued national growth.
Chandler brings more than a decade of experience across global and local media agencies. She joins Equality from Initiative London, where she spent over five years working on multi-market strategy and planning. A career highlight includes her role as a key contributor to a global campaign playbook for LEGO, a strategic framework enabling consistent brand storytelling across markets while allowing for local adaptation. The playbook remains a benchmark for scalable, culturally attuned media planning across the agency network.
Her earlier roles at Carat Australia saw her lead planning across brands such as Schweppes, Mattel, Disney and Medibank, while at Mindshare Australia, she focused on NAB’s digital and social strategy.
In her new role, Chandler will work across both existing clients and new business opportunities, bringing a future-focused approach to integrated media planning. She will play a key role in enhancing Equality’s planning capability and supporting the agency’s full-service model.
“Nicola brings not only global perspective and strategic depth, but the kind of values-led thinking that truly resonates with our clients,” said Marilla Akkermans, founder and managing director of Equality Media + Marketing. “Over the past six months, we’ve won a number of exciting project partnerships. Nicola’s appointment reflects our continued growth and our commitment to delivering brilliant service at scale.”
“I’ve always gravitated towards integrated media teams because they allow you to think bigger, plan better and make work that truly connects, so moving to a full-service agency felt like a natural next step,” Chandler said. “What stood out to me about Equality is that they don’t just talk the talk when it comes to purpose and culture. They walk it every day. I’m excited to bring my experience into the property category. It’s a high-interest, high-involvement space where media strategy can really influence decision-making, and I’m proud to be part of an agency that’s building something different.”
Chandler’s appointment is the latest in a string of senior hires, as Equality continues to invest in talent that delivers service at its best. Proudly certified as a Great Place to Work®, Equality remains focused on shaping a workplace that reflects its values and supports long-term, sustainable growth for its people.
