Mumbrella Content Marketing Academy – Sydney

Content Marketing Academy is a 6-week course. The course will offer expert insight into content marketing processes and best practices. It will provide attendees with skills and knowledge that can be applied to their organisation (not just theories) including real-world examples and case studies.

Module one: Content Marketing 101

In this first session, we get back to basics and explore the nature of content marketing, its effectiveness and which brands have lead the charge over the past few years. We then explore the ways in which content marketing can be integrated into organisational marketing programs and how to get ‘buy-in’ from key organisational figures.

Module two: Developing a content strategy
Successful content marketing isn’t just about posting engaging blogs on your website. The first step is to determine your content goals and outline a strategy that ensures you meet predetermined, measurable business objectives. Research has shown that marketers with a documented content strategy rate themselves as significantly more effective than those without. In this module we will explore the process of content strategy development.

Module three: Developing your content marketing process and content calendar
Now that attendees understand the importance of a strategic approach to content marketing, the King Content team will get into the nuts and bolts of how to develop an implement a content marketing process.

Module four: Implementation & amplification
Armed with a strategy and content calendar, in module four we will outline how to implement your content marketing program. From selecting where and how content will be housed on owned assets and the role of CTA’s through to paid and earned media amplification tactics, this module is about ensuring that your content is working hard to meet your business objectives.

Module five: Using content to drive social media engagement
Social media and content marketing should not exist in separate silos. By integrating your content marketing and social media efforts, you can not only extend the reach of your content but leverage insights gained from social listening to adapt and optimise your content to drive a higher return on investment from your social audience. In this module we explore the convergence of social media and content marketing, and how the two should be used in unison to drive the best possible results for your business.

Module six: Measuring the success of your content marketing 
Measuring the success of content marketing throughout strategy implementation is critical to understanding what content is working for your brand, why it has been effective and how this success translates into profitable business outcomes. In this module we explore how to measure the performance of content marketing programs, how to analyse data for actionable insights and ultimately how to prove Return on Investment for content programs.
