Katie Elle
My name is Katie Elle and I’m an illustrator and animator located in Melbourne, Australia. I specialise in illustration and animation.
I spent the entirety of my life moving countries every three years due to my mother’s diplomatic career. Since I was 13, I knew I wanted to be a graphic designer and spent the good part of my teenage years developing my skills in design. After spending a year at university get my degree, I finally realised that I had been slightly off about what I ultimately wanted to do – aid and help tell stories through drawing. I finally stopped in Melbourne, Australia to complete my Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media) and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
Despite the changing location, my love of drawing has never left me and my natural flare for design and drawing has enabled me to create my own stories to share and now I hope to create illustrations and animated works that help build up others. Whether it be through editorial work, visual development or animation, I want to support others with drawing.
