Gayle While moves into Dentsu Creative as CCO

Dentsu’s Creative business has appointed Gayle While in the newly created role of chief client officer. The former Clemenger Melbourne CEO joins, David Halter, chief strategy & growth officer and Kirsty Muddle CEO Creative who leads the business across Australia and New Zealand.

Muddle said: “There is no-one better than Gayle for this role. There was no point looking outside the network. I’ve long been a fan of hers, if not fearful when she was the competition. She has also worked for Media Monks, and IPG. She’s a driver, she’s ingenious and she’s been at the forefront of creativity and innovation her entire career.”

Marketer While is well recognised for her ability to balance a deep enterprise knowledge with a passion for ideas and obsession with craft. Most recently the network’s chief digital officer, Dentsu – the move is from within Dentsu.

With the move of While, dentsu’s Media business announces the launch of its newly formed ANZ product team supporting the global practice development as part of its continued transformation plan. Headed by Richard Pook as chief product officer, it will support Carat, iProspect and Dentsu x, and will focus on building best in class practice across the service lines.

Pook moves into this position after five years with Dentsu Aotearoa as GM of platforms & partnerships, bringing global commercial experience across data, technology and product that will supercharge the scalability of products in Australia & New Zealand. He most recently was awarded the Interactive Advertising Bureau NZ digital product of the year Grand Award for D4, Dentsu’s proprietary multi-platform advertising technology that is being scaled across the region.
