Meet Jack.

The Sydney office of Jack Morton Worldwide is looking for a Designer to join its team. The 2D Designer role supports the design process, working alongside team colleagues (creative & production) designing 2D graphics for deliverables including but not limited to consumer activations, events and conferences

What you’ll be doing:

• Support design team by assisting in concept and development for print collateral, large format prints, broadcast graphics, and other graphic design needs
• Participate in the creative process and taking of briefs.
• Monitor print production process to ensure that design integrity, colour accuracy and image quality are met.
• Participate in project kick-off and debrief sessions on designated accounts
• Support the Creative Director in ensuring the highest level of creativity is delivered
• Participate in brainstorming and project problem solving to generate ideas for clients
• Effectively present ideas to the team – both verbally and visually

What we’re looking for:

• 0-3 years graphic design experience, internship experience preferred.
• BFA or BA in Design or similar
• Proficient in design software packages including: Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, InDesign, Quark Xpress, etc.
• An interest in environment design, illustrating and some 3d skills a bonus.
• Understanding of basic file prep for all types of print production, including: offset, digital, large format, broadcast graphics, web, packaging, etc.
• Understanding of branding, marketing, technology and media
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment under tight deadlines
• Must be able to work on multiple programs simultaneously
• Demonstrated creative competencies: accountability for results, client focus, team effectiveness, ingenuity, organizational sophistication and communicating ideas
• Team player who possesses the ability to work well under pressure
