Account Executive

Six O’Clock Advisory is seeking a bright, proactive and digitally-fit Account Executive who is in tune with current affairs and has a passion for story-telling.

Collaborating with Advisers, Senior Advisers and Directors, you will be tasked with account servicing and administration across the business and with retainer and project work for clients to deliver strategic communication, corporate reputation and stakeholder engagement programs.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of clients spanning financial and professional services, education, health, property, sport and telecommunications, as well as be an active participant in new business.

About you:
– One to three years’ experience in a public relations/communications agency, social media, journalism or related field
– Knowledge and proven ability to undertake media relations and social media strategies
– Excellent organisation skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks and clients at any one time
– A tertiary qualification in the area of Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Business or an allied discipline

About the role:
The ideal candidate will need to:
– Develop skills in a range of PR services including media relations, social media, content development and channel strategy, executive profiling, stakeholder engagement, crisis/issues management and internal communications
– Be comfortable in all forms of PR writing and content development e.g. media releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, media pitches, blogs and social media content
– Capability to build strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
– Contribute to the research, development, writing and presentation of client proposals
– Actively support the team and clients by seeking out opportunities that ensure the agency exceeds expectations, upholds a premium quality of work and fosters a productive working environment
– Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

It would be an advantageous to have skills in developing scripts and producing and editing videos for content production purposes.
