Art Director

Bastion Brands is an independent advertising/comms agency based in Richmond with an office in Sydney.

We are a health and wellness agency with a team of approximately 24 individuals dedicated to producing life changing work, with brands, products and services that relate to health and wellness.

We’re on the lookout for an Art Director to join our creative team for one key and crucial role. We are calling this ‘Operation: Looks F*#!ing Awesome!’

As the head of ‘OLFA’, you will:
· Have at least 5+yrs varied, quality Art Direction experience.

· Have a burning desire to make everything ‘LFA!’ (You are obsessed with making things to look amazing, from important client work to the visual livery of the agency… ie: it hurts your eyes when a presentation isn’t delivered in the right format or the alignment of a text block is slightly out of whack…)

· Be a Conceptual thinker, an ‘ideas person’ who can expertly visualise ideas and craft executions across all mediums (ie: you should be able to sketch a bit..)

· Be a great Collaborator – someone who can work in close partnership with a Copywriter, or one of the doctors on staff (ie: yes we work with some serious pharma projects at times…)

· Have the ability to direct photographers, illustrators, video and digital production teams.

· Be Hands-On – someone who loves getting their hands dirty on the tools to bring a project to life from brief to finished art.

· Be an Adobe Creative Suite Powerhouse. (ie: you are 100% up to date with all the tools of the trade)

· Someone who is demonstrably active on social media, with experience in producing social media across all channels

· Have a ‘Make it Happen’ type – an ability to work to tight deadlines, briefs and budgets – and see a job through from concept to completion.

· Have a ‘Count Me In’ type who wants to really make their mark in a growing business, and on the industry at large. (On the flip side, we need a ‘What if…’ attitude that says you are ready to challenge the norm to produce inspiring, unique and unexpected but 100% on-brief solutions)

· Naturally align with our company (BBPOD) Values: Brilliance Bravery Passion Ownership and Determination.

A bonus would be evidence of digital thinking and execution, as the healthcare industry is starting to demand more and more thinking in the digital space.

You will work alongside the Creative Director to make ideas and creative thinking come to life in a challenging but rewarding role.
