Becoming an Art Director

As an Art Director you will work with a talented group of designers, videographers, content specialists and writers to bring great ideas to life.

As an Art Director, you will:

– Play a key role in developing visual concepts for creative campaigns.
– Provide high-quality art direction to the visual elements of a creative campaign to work across channels including digital, social, print and OOH.
– Adapt and amend visual concepts to the brief specifications.
– Contribute to and refine visual elements for creative presentations.
– Support the team with creative production on day-to-day deliverables.
– Work with the Accounts and Strategy teams to ensure all visual concepts address the client’s strategic objectives.
– Collaborate with TG’s Accounts, Strategy and Media teams to meet production timelines for client campaigns and projects.
– Manage your workload across multiple accounts and deadlines.
– Provide input on improving creative processes, systems and workflows.
– Develop proactive, bespoke visual approaches for clients from scratch with strong strategic thinking and insight-driven rationale.
– Take initiative and be able to solve problems quickly.
– Stay updated with creative trends.
– Work with senior colleagues to develop your skills.

What you bring to the role:

– 2-4 years+ experience working as an Art Director or Junior Art Director within a relevant field.
– Experience providing art direction for visual elements for advertising campaigns.
– Strong knowledge of typography, image manipulation, illustration, animation, graphic design, layout design, and digital media production.
– Strong understanding of brand campaigns, digital and social-first advertising, and commercial advertising.
– Strong experience with the Adobe Suite, preferably Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro or AfterEffects.
– Creativity and adaptability to be able to conceptualise original and bespoke ideas.
– Proven experience working on creative projects that showcases your individual visual aesthetic.
– Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritise assignments and meet deadlines.
– An eye for quality and attention to detail.
– An entrepreneurial, proactive attitude, a passion for learning and personal growth, and a demonstrated ability to grow and motivate creatives around you.
