Audience Data Coordinator

The Marketing and Communications Unit (MCU) takes the lead in developing strategies and relationships to build the UTS brand in order to achieve its desired prominence in the market place. It is responsible for effectively promoting and enhancing the image and reputation of the university through the development and implementation of marketing plans, media and public relations activities, internal communication and corporate identity strategy. MCU has both internal and external clients and delivers services to support them and to promote the overall strategic development of the university.

The unit is seeking to fill a newly created role, Audience Data Coordinator, within the Postgraduate Experience (PG.x) team. The role is responsible for the collection, input, maintenance and reporting of UTS’s postgraduate audience and campaign data. The role will be tap into exisiting UTS audiences and build up new audiences to support the launch of the new lines of business for UTS and ensures that all audiences support the broader UTS strategic and MCU objectives.

The Audience Data Coordinator will be embedded in PG.x, a team dedicated to the digital transformation of postgraduate learning experience and maintain the audiences supporting the new lines of business (short courses, taster courses, micro-credentials and online degrees) for UTS. They will be responsible for delivering a strategic marketing and communication service that is responsive to PG.x’s requirements yet balanced with central UTS strategy and brand. Their skillset should also be responsive to the Postgraduate strategy and marketing and communications plan.

Main skills/experience required:

• Ability to work with audience lifecycle and development strategies for new audiences.
• Ability to apply analytical skill to varied data sets.
• Proven ability to meet competing deadlines.
• Ability to contribute to guidelines and procedures, including experience in providing reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Must be organised and detail oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills combined with accuracy and attention to detail.


Base Salary: $69,663 to $79,695 pa (HEW 5)

This role attracts 9.5% superannuation in addition to the base salary. Employee benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.

This appointment will be on a fixed term, 12 month contract.
