About The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving team as a Business Development Manager – Partnerships based at the iconic Jam Factory in South Yarra. We are looking for someone to take responsibility for meeting and exceeding sales objectives through monetisation of Village Entertainment assets and generating revenue through offering bespoke integrated solutions to brands looking to connect with an entertainment audience. In more detail, the key accountabilities are as follows:

Business Development

Generate awareness and demand for VE properties as a viable sponsorship and marketing communications channel for brands looking to connect with consumers.
Clearly articulate the strength of VE assets and the value they can add to brands.
Deliver bespoke integrated solutions to clients to meet their objectives.
Manage a strong pipeline of client prospects, by building and maintaining relationships in the marketplace.
Acquire commercial partnerships leveraging the VE brand and assets to achieve sales targets.

Account Management

Ensure client partnerships and campaigns are executed effectively and efficiently always looking to exceed client expectations.
Work collaboratively with the Partnerships Executive and all VE departments to achieve required partner outcomes.
Achieve a high level of client and internal stakeholder satisfaction.
Build and maintain effective relationships with all partners and prospects.
New Product Development

Continually create and develop new products and assets to take to market in conjunction with VE Marketing and relevant internal departments.
Partners and Supplier relationships

Work collaboratively with 3rd party and joint venture partners along with the broader VRL Group to maximise all revenue opportunities for VE.

About You

Village Roadshow is a diverse and vibrant organisation with a broad range of influential and dedicated professionals. To be successful in this role you will need to be open and honest in your approach, have the ability to build and maintain relationships with ease and not be too dismayed when things don’t go to plan. This role has a realistic and achievable commission structure for the successful applicant. We are looking for the following knowledge, skills and experience:

3- 5 years demonstrable business development experience preferably in sponsorship, partnerships, sales and promotions including evidence of hitting / exceeding targets.
Demonstrable pipeline of contacts across Australia across both client direct and via media and sponsorship agencies.
Digitally savvy and across market/industry trends within partnerships, digital communications, CRM and commerce channels.
Ability to converse and build strong relationships across all levels of management.
Evidence of dealing with adversity, set backs and challenging situations while maintaining a focus on the long term.
Ability to think strategically along with displaying strong negotiation and communication skills.
Tertiary qualifications within Business, Marketing, Commerce or equivalent experience in business development/sales.
